Harold GoodwinRev. Harold Goodwin served as minister of his home church, Decatur Street Christian (now called Decatur-Trinity Christian) from 1969-1990. After retirement from Decatur, Harold and his wife, Dot Goodwin, led workshops and seminars in spiritual enrichment.

He joined the Lindenwood ministerial staff in September 1994 with a special charge to develop the Stephen Ministry lay counseling program and small spiritual growth groups. Long before he attended seminary, Harold was minister at Pleasant Christian Church and was ordained in 1962 at Decatur Street Christian Church. He served Bethany Christian and a Christian church in Covington, Tenn., before he was called a co-minister at Decatur Street, where he stayed for 24 years.

He earned a bachelor's degree in education from Memphis State University, Master of Divinity at Memphis Theological Seminary and a master's degree in Counseling from Memphis State University. In a two-year program called the Academy for Spiritual Formation at the Upper Room in Nashville, he was in residence for a week, four times a year, for lectures and sharing groups in 1986 and 1987. The Goodwins have three children and eight grandchildren.
