| THE PASTOR’S CLASS will be led by Dr. Ron Buck and will take place on Sundays during the Sunday School hour. This class is for boys and girls in 4-6 grade. The class dates are: March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1. There will be a lock-in on Friday March 23. The children will make their Confession of Faith on April 8 and be baptized on April 15. | COMING SOON! – “From the Archives” by Nina P. Ross The story it tells spans the entire history of Linden Street/Linden Avenue/Lindenwood Christian Church form 1828 through 2011. It is a beautiful volume that will make all of us proud. The hard cover book has 432 pages and includes 121 photos.
The book will sell for $45. However, the special reduced price for pre-orders will be $40. Payment must accompany pre-orders which will be accepted until the release date in late February 2012. When the book is released it will be priced at $45.

| SOUPER BOWL LUNCH Be a part of the hunger solution and support the Sr. High Youth as they prepare homemade soups for their annual Souper Bowl Lunch on Sunday, February 5th. The proceeds will be split between MIFA and World Vision as these agencies work to help solve hunger issues locally and internationally. Cost –adults $7.00, children $3.00, Family maximum $20 |
| Worship Activity Bags for Children These bags (white bag for ages 5 & below and red bag for ages 6-10) have activities that correspond to the worship scripture and sermon. The bags are in the cloak room adjacent to the Sanctuary, and may be picked up and returned there each week. |
| Time for Cookies Again! The Men’s Kairos prison ministry is in need of homemade cookies for their weekend ministry at the West Tennessee State Penitentiary. Churches from all over the Memphis area will be baking cookies, but Lindenwood’s goal is 100 dozen cookies for this ministry. They are asking that we make only chocolate chip cookies. Homemade cookies are preferred, but they will gladly accept cookies made from the tubs of mix that can be purchased at local stores. The recipe and baking/ handling instructions are on Lindenwood’s website and also available from Cleolyn Young at 377-1032 or Cleolyn@bellsouth.net. Please bring your cookies on Sunday morning, February 26th by 11:00 to the receptionist’s desk. Thank you for your time and service in this ministry! |
| Family Sunday is the second Sunday of the month We ask that all children, youth and adults worship as a family in Chapel, W.O.W. or Sanctuary services. It is important not only for our children and youth see their parents participate in worship, but to also expose children to the entire worship service. For those children who have parents elsewhere in the service (servers of communion, choir members, etc.) they may sit with David and Sharron Johnson. |

| DAVE RAMSEY’S FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY returns to Lindenwood and will meet on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. in Room 202. The course includes 13 classes that cover personal finance topics such as: dumping debt, cash flow planning/budgeting, retirement/college planning, insurance, real estate/mortgages, and more. | THE CHANCEL CHOIR Has openings in all sections, and YOU are invited to joint hem at this annual time of choir recruitment. There is no audition, only a love of singing and commitment to rehearsals and services. | STAR SAVER SOCCER begins Saturday, March 3 through April 14. Star Saver soccer is for boys and girls ages 5-9. All activities take place at the Lindenwood ball field.
