Keeping the Sabbath

The original intent of the ceremonial law prohibiting work on the Sabbath was not meant to apply to the service of God or deeds of mercy. Jesus told the man with the withered hand to stand up and stretch forth thy hand. He restored the man’s right hand to be just like his other hand. The angry Pharisees plotted to kill Jesus. They thought it was wrong for Jesus to heal on the Sabbath but all right for them to plan on the Sabbath to kill Jesus.
Jesus knew what they were planning and left the synagogue. Multitudes of people followed Jesus and He healed all those who had problems. Sometimes we do things that hurt others. Rather than apologizing or accepting the consequences of our actions, we try to place the blame on the ones we hurt. Jesus teaches us to forgive others as He forgives us.

If you had work to do, would you
a. Skip church
b. Neglect your work
c. Do it tomorrow
d. All of the above
