Missions and Outreach Opportunities at Lindenwood

Adopt an Angel

Once again Lindenwood is partnering with Peabody Elementary to provide Christmas gifts for children in need. Please join us in spreading the joy of Christmas by adopting an Angel from the adoption wall in Stauffer Hall beginning November 13th. Additionally, you are invited to join us at Peabody Elementary on Friday, December 16th at 12:00 noon to deliver the gifts to the families.

Poplar Point Nursing Home

Lindenwood has adopted Poplar Point Nursing Home for Christmas and we need your help! We need donations of new throw blankets, slip-resistant slippers, and teddy bears for the residents of Poplar Point. All items can be dropped off in the Easterwood Gallery. We will also be asking for volunteers to join us in December (date and time TBA) to pass out these items to the seniors at the nursing home. Thank you for helping Lindenwood Love Out Loud.

Christmas Blessing Bags!

The Lindenwood Outreachers group is teaming up with the Burrito Ministry for Christmas! We will be making Blessing Bags to hand out to the homeless at the Burrito Ministry on Tuesday, December 20th at 5:00pm. We are collecting new or gently-used, adult-size sleeping bags, stocking caps, gloves and scarves. As well as, adult socks, chap stick, travel-size deodorant, hand warmers, ponchos, travel-size hand sanitizer or hand-sanitizer wipes, and individually wrapped packs of peanuts, snack crackers, and trail mix. We will also be accepting donations to assist with the purchase of cinch sacks and McDonalds or Subway gift cards. All items can be dropped off in the Easterwood Gallery and any checks should be made out to Lindenwood Christian Church with "Blessing Bag" notated on the memo line or donate online through the Lindenwood website. Please mark your calendars to help us assemble these bags on Sunday, December 18th at Lindenwood and to join us in handing out these Blessings during the Burrito Ministry on Tuesday, December 20th at 5:00pm at First United Methodist Church.

Lindenwood Clothes Closet

The Lindenwood Clothes Closet is always in need of gently used clothing, shoes, and outer wear. Clothing items can be dropped off in the Easterwood Gallery.
